Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated 29 June 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for the professional services and fees paid to COMFINTAX. Where a signed engagement letter sets out different terms for a specific engagement, that engagement letter prevails.
1. Nature of our services
COMFINTAX provides professional advisory and compliance services that are time- and effort-based and often delivered over a period of time. Because work typically begins as soon as an engagement is confirmed, refunds are assessed by reference to the work actually performed.
2. Fees and advance payments
Certain engagements require an advance fee or retainer, billed in accordance with the engagement letter. Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes and of statutory, government and third-party charges unless stated otherwise.
3. Cancellation by you
You may request cancellation of an engagement by writing to us at info@comfintax.com. Cancellation takes effect when we acknowledge your request. Work performed, and costs and third-party charges incurred, up to the effective date of cancellation remain payable.
4. Cancellation by COMFINTAX
We may decline or discontinue an engagement — for example, where required information is not provided, where continuing would breach a legal, regulatory or professional obligation, or where fees remain unpaid. In such cases, fees are charged on a pro-rata basis for the work performed up to the date of discontinuation.
5. Refund eligibility
Where you have paid in advance for services that have not yet been performed, a refund may be considered for the portion of the fee relating to the unperformed work, after deducting:
- the value of work already performed and time already spent on the engagement;
- statutory, government and regulatory fees (such as filing fees and taxes), which are non-refundable;
- third-party and out-of-pocket costs already incurred on your behalf.
6. Non-refundable items
Completed services and delivered work products, government and statutory fees, and third-party charges already incurred are non-refundable. Fees for services rendered in full are not eligible for refund.
7. How to request a refund and timelines
To request a refund, write to us at info@comfintax.com with your engagement and payment details. We will review eligible requests and, where a refund is approved, process it to the original payment method, ordinarily within 7–14 business days of approval. Timelines for the amount to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above indicates when it was last revised.
